Mr. Sheldon was a University administrator and a founding member of Institute of Payroll and Pensions Managers. He took Christ as his Saviour in 1957, at an evangelistic meeting conducted by David Shepherd, the Welsh evangelist. Married for 50 years, he lived in Newport, South Wales, where he was a teaching elder at the Mountjoy Christian Fellowship. He enrolled at the Bible College of Wales as a full time student in 1962 and graduated in 1965. He was the Director of Studies at the Mountjoy Bible School which travelled to other venues to take sound Bible teaching to communities of believers in many areas of England and Wales.
